The Curious Case of the Coorong Wilderness Lodge

Here's a case where operating under the assumption that Aboriginals have the same capabilities as whites is not reflected in reality. The South Australian government built the "Coorong Wilderness Lodge" on a prime location on the Coorong for some Aboriginals to manage and maintain as their own business. And these probably were racially mixed Aboriginals, with a higher IQ than full blooded Aboriginals.

Within a few years the place was abandoned, and government officials were scratching their heads over why Aboriginals couldn't handle running a tourist facility just as well as whites.
